Brown Sugar BBQ Sauce

I know that this is another BBQ sauce recipe, but as the days get warmer, it just seems more and more fitting. This sauce has brown sugar in it, but only enough to balance out the tang of the vinegar. It is subtly sweet and gives the perfect flavor to any summer barbecue. Brown Sugar BBQ Sauce ½ finely diced onions 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil 1 ½ cups vegetable broth ½ cup ketchup ¼ cup packed brown sugar 2 ½ Tablespoons Smoky Chipotle Mustard 1 teaspoon molasses 1 teaspoon liquid smoke or South African Smoke Seasoning blend 1. In a medium saucepan, heat oil to medium-high heat and cook onions for 3 to 5 minutes, or until fragrant. 2. Add the remaining ingredients, reduced heat, and simmer for 25 minutes, or until thickened and reduced slightly.
